Tomorrow is my kitten, Luna’s, 6 month birthday!
She is a black long haired domestic cat/grey tiger mix. She has silky black hair, bright eyes, bald lips, and two white patches of fur on her tummy.
To commemorate my fur-babies’ special day, I decided to write up a quick animal spotlight on housecats here.
Cats are one of the most commonly owned domestic pets in the United States, and it’s clear why. They are fairly easy to care for, live about 18 years on average, provide companionship, and are undeniably adorable.
If you are interested in adopting a cat, there are a few things to consider.
- Does your home allow cats?
- Do you have the money to provide your cat with food, litter, entertainment, and veterinary visits?
- Do you have the time necessary to dedicate to your pet? Cats require less active care than many dogs, but they still require some playing, petting, and companionship to be happy and thrive.
